House with a view of Lake Neusiedl - outdoor area
"This stone has grown like this over millions of years; it's an uplifting feeling" is how Alexander Nowak describes his thoughts on the outdoor area of his house, which is made of natural stone. And indeed, the stone combination around his Mediterranean villa blends together wonderfully. Three different types of natural stone are used here. For the walkways, the Nowak family chose a Brazilian quartz stone, which is characterised by a warm and colourful colour scheme. With its light brown and red tones, the quartz stone makes the paths around the house shine. The coping slabs for the stone wall are made of travertine. The slightly brownish travertine with its broken edges visually closes the stone wall, which appears somewhat very smooth. The Nowak family designed the terrace and pool area with cream-coloured limestone. This stone does not come in a sterile white, but in a warm beige. In addition, the stone has a marbled surface and thus creates a non-uniform colouring.
The Nowak family is certain of one thing: only comprehensive and personal advice from an experienced stonemason leads to an end product that the customer is really satisfied with. For quite some time, Mr Nowak and his wife had been looking for the perfect stone for their garden and terrace area. It quickly became clear that only a natural stone would be suitable for their patio slabs. However, it turned out that the colour was not the first selection criterion, but rather the question of the right stone for the right application. To this end, the Nowak family visited various suppliers and had several models of coping slabs made. But nothing really fit - the polished edges of the cover and patio slabs appeared too smooth and cold overall. Only a personal consultation on site brought about the decisive turnaround. After only a few minutes, the stonemason convinced Mr. Nowak of the idea to equip the cover slabs with broken edges and thus create a visual break that harmoniously blends into the overall picture.
