Modern architect house
Behind the creation of this extraordinary house is a very simple measurement. It is "forty times forty". The builder, who is also an architect, came up with this magic formula and created his own masterpiece with this house.
From the room height and the dimensions of the windows to the wall panels and the walls on the outside, the grid runs through the entire building. A challenge for the architect, but also for the executing professionals.
Already in the planning phase, the client contacted Schubert Stone to jointly select the suitable products for his master house. Of course, the stone and wooden floors as well as all other stone elements had to fit into the given grid.
For the interior and exterior, the client opted for Technostein. This could be produced in exactly the desired colour, in the required dimensions and with the necessary delicacy. "Technostein was the perfect choice for me," says the client. "With its dimensions, it fits exactly into my concept and radiates warmth and comfort with its feel." The fireplace, the central element in the living area, was also clad with Technostein.
The spiral staircase in the interior posed a special challenge. To avoid joints in the staircase, the Technostein slabs were mitred. A very complex design that required close cooperation between the architect and Schubert Stone.
In the meantime, the owner lives with his family in his masterpiece. His summary: "Especially when you plan and design in a very reduced way, the materials and surfaces have to be perfect. With the use of Technostein, these requirements could be implemented perfectly.
