Inter-Club ROTARY Summer Meetings

Host Thomas Schubert warmly welcomed the attending members of the Rotary Clubs of Vienna-Danube, Vienna-Franz Schubert and Vienna-Hofburg, followed by the welcoming speeches of the presidents Beatrice Schobesberger (Vienna-Franz Schubert), Dietmar Böckmann (Vienna-Hofburg) as well as Nicolai Descovich.

Thomas Schubert guides us through the historic factory halls and the beautiful Wilhelminian villa on the premises of SCHUBERT STONE. On about 3,000 m2 of exhibition space, there are 2,000 different types of natural stone, technostone and parquet. The factory hall of the former yarn spinning mill on the 1st floor of the 2-story hall (the structure is a former aircraft hangar with a wingspan of 22 meters) is to be restored to its original, historic condition and used as an event hall.

SCHUBERT STONE is as a family business in a transformation, from the second to the third generation. Thus, by outsourcing parts of the business and the sale of natural stone slabs, new space was created for the studio of the daughter Carina Schubertbzw. for versatile events and the leadership of the son Mathias Schubert.

After the exciting tour of the factory premises, the participants from the three Rotary clubs are invited to a dinner at Thomas Schubert's Gründerzeit villa. The grilled food, wine and drinks tasted excellent. After many interesting conversations between the members of the clubs, the very successful cross-club partner meeting comes to an end.

With interesting conversations and delicious culinary delights thanks to Vermuth from Burschik, sparkling wine from Schlumberger and beer from Ottakringer, freshly prepared empanadas from Empanadas Catering and Thum ham with Joseph bread, the visitors experienced a unique event.
